Windsor Designated Evacuation Zones
In preparation for emergencies or disasters, the Town has released an evacuation zone map. Find your zone and save it by writing it down, taking a screenshot, or memorizing it so you'll be ready if and when you need to evacuate. Please note that alert messages issued in an evacuation may also reference geographic boundaries, streets, or landmarks.
Basic Evacuation Tips
- Every disaster is different, so there won't be one pre-designated route. There will be many variables in each situation that may make a route viable or not.
- Plan multiple routes out of town from your home in different directions.
- Practice those routes today so that if and when the time comes to evacuate, you’re under less pressure.
