Town Council Vacancy
On December 2, 2020, Dominic Foppoli was sworn in as the directly elected at-large Mayor which resulted in him vacating his at-large Town Council seat that expires in December 2022. This mid-term vacancy requires that the Town Council fill the vacant Council seat by appointment or special election. At their regular Council meeting on December 2, 2020, the Town of Windsor Town Council announced its plan to possibly appoint a person to fill the Town Council at-large seat vacated by the election of Dominic Foppoli to the At-large Mayor seat and authorized the issuance of applications for possible appointment. While applications are being accepted for consideration, it is possible that the Town Council may still decide to fill the vacant seat by special election.
Those interested in being considered for appointment to serve on the Town of Windsor Town Council are invited to submit an application. To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must reside and be registered to vote within the Town of Windsor at the time the application is submitted to the Town Clerk. Applicants will be required to complete and submit an application form which will include a questionnaire. Submitted applications and questionnaires will be made available to the public for viewing.
